Why I became an SPO Missionary

A few months prior to saying yes to mission with SPO, I worked for the United Nations. During this time, I could feel Jesus showing me every day that although material poverty is a heartbreaking form of suffering, the deepest and most extreme suffering comes from the spiritual poverty faced by millions around the world who don't know the love of God. All brokenness within our world stems from our separation from the Father's love, and I could hear Him saying to me, "What are you going to do about this?" To me, the only possible response is mission.
