Why I became an SPO Missionary
I encountered SPO during my time in undergrad at The Ohio State University. The men and women I met in the SPO community there, both students and Missionaries alike, were instrumental in launching me into a deeper relationship with the Lord through personal prayer, the sacraments, and worship. Not only that, but they opened my eyes and heart to the reality of our call as baptized Christians - to share the good news of the Gospel. The way they approached this, through authentic relationships, deep conversations, and the simple joy of inviting others into their life together, was powerful and inspiring to me. The call to mission that had started through witnessing my peers in SPO grew and I felt the strong desire to give to others the gift of the Gospel and communal living that I had received from SPO in college. It's been a gift to do that in Texas since 2016!
